1. General Liability with Products and Completed Operations

  • Contractual penalties beyond insured limits: If your co-packing agreement includes liquidated damages clauses or penalty provisions that exceed your policy limits, those amounts fall on you personally
  • Product defects you knew about: A pre-existing design defect or labeling error you were aware of before the policy period is excluded

Additional Insured Status

Your client (the brand) will require that they are named as an additional insured on your general liability and products liability policy.
